Keeping pupils active throughout this term, PGS Sport have provided a wide range of opportunities so that pupils felt supported and could find a way to stay active, with the importance of physical activity for wellbeing made front and centre.

It was fantastic to see a large number of pupils engaging in various lessons, online classes and making use of technology throughout this time. Just some of the highlights of the term include, hundreds of hours of activity recorded on Apps such as Strava and Strider, videos of pupils taking part in games sessions, brilliant numbers on several of the co-curricular sports clubs including 36 pupils, parents and staff taking part in a workout to honour Captain Tom one Saturday morning and over 100 pupils and staff taking part in the 1500m Inter Schools Competition with 15 other schools - congratulations to Year 11 who had the 3rd most entries for all the schools involved for their age group. The PGS Sporting community have been placed in the Top 3 schools on the Strider App each week since it was launched. The platform now has over 100 of the top schools in the country involved and is sure to continue to be a competitive setting for our pupils, while encouraging safe activity. Over a number of weeks PGS Sport topped the charts with almost 2000 Kilometres of activity. Strava has also proved just as popular with pupils, and again this has meant hundreds of activities and hours of cycling, running, walking, swimming, SUP Boarding, Sailing and Wind Surfing. Thank you to everyone for remaining so positive and continuing to participate in PGS Sport this term. Do enjoy the film (right) that shows some of the highlights and participation this term.
